This one-of-a-kind,12,000 square foot facility located in Holland, MI. serves as a permanent home for the combined Herman Miller and Knoll archival collections. It contains over one million objects including furniture, photographs, graphic design, advertisements, product catalogs, correspondence, engineering drawings, and textiles.

The archives is made up of three areas: Exhibition Space, Open Storage, and Reading Room.

The Open Storage racks hold over 300 pieces of modern furniture from Knoll, Herman Miller and other MillerKnoll brands including pieces designed by Eero Saarinen, Gilbert Rohde, Florence Knoll, Isamu Noguchi, Geroge Nelson and Ray and Charles Eames.

The Reading Room houses archival materials including correspondence, design and engineering drawings, product catalogs, and fabric samples from the 1940s and 1950s.

The Exhibition Space currently houses an exhibit of MillerKnoll’s origins dating back to the early 20th century and the visionaries who shaped these two companies.
